Hiety Ho!!!

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

I say a Hiety Ho to  my lovelies out there on this beautiful start to a 3 day weekend!!!

Makes me want to do a dance!!! (Beware Early 90′s New Jersey going on here……….)

or maybe this……(Can you say memory lane????…….)

So…. any fun plans this 3 day weekend when we’re not supposed to do much Laboring?

Me… I have NADA. Yes. this perpetual planner has planned to do nothing. It’s 5:30ish and I have done four loads of laundry (so far) cleaned the living room… watched an AWESOME movie about Art… listened to coffee house channel on Sirius Radio (while drinking coffee), ate a half of a ham sandwich, burned incense, and spending time on computer.. heated up and ate some italian wedding soup, listened to songs on ITunes (did a little dancing).. basically chillin out. I have two more days of whatever the heck I want to do.  Peter (of course) is working today and tomorrow he’s going out with his buddies (yes I said buddies ha!) on a ride somewhere… communing with the road, his friends.. and his freedom (That’s what I’ve named his Motorcycle.. Freedom).  (And he tells me he’s going to The Inn at Little Washington which I’m totally jealous of!!!)  Tomorrow I am working on a Coaching Project.. I’m actually excited about it.. it’s an art project. I have to do a physical representation of what the little voice who tells me I’m not worth it looks like(also called a ‘Gremlin’ at IPEC) I’ll share when I get it done. It’ll be nice to be creative.. haven’t waxed my creative juices in quite some time. (And after watching that movie.. I feel even more inspired!) It is SUCH a beautiful day.. turning into a beautiful evening.  love.

alright.. I will put it in a formatted format and give you 3 things 2 things

3 things that make me happy:

  1. That I trusted my gut and emailed this wonderful experienced coach who taught our Wednesday nite teleclass a few weeks ago. I was really impressed with her story (She created an 100k coaching practice in 6 months after she graduated) I asked her if she ever mentored anyone (What do I have to lose to ask her?) And I was pleasantly surprised when she said she would mentor me! I believe that she can help me with my goal to leave the corporate 9-5 permanently by May 2011. SO excited!  (I am ready to do the work… so ready)
  2. Uh.. I don’t remember my dreams very often. (Peter says it’s because my brain is running at full speed while I’m awake that it’s when I’m sleeping that it actually gets a rest. ha. ha. he’s probably right) So when I woke up this week remembering almost every single moment of this profound and sexy dream, a dream that moved me and touched me.  (My dream in a few words: Alexander Skarsgard, sign language, ME!!!, a historical kiss, Weight Watchers, porn, my gremlin, and genuine serenity) To the point that while driving to work I told my imaginary friend in the car with me  the dream (I just had to say it out loud I think to solidify it in my mind) and when I pulled into the garage at my ‘just a job’ job. the car in front of me’s license plate said ‘JAH 5483′ and it hit me”  I knew it had an even more significant meaning than I originally thought! Needless to say I’m still swimming in that dream.. and hope I remember how it left me feeling for a long time.
  3. Love Love Loving being in this coaching program. It’s talking about subjects that have already been my baseline of learning since I can remember (Ego, Energy, Victim Mentality, Assumptions, Interpretations, Limited Beliefs….) It’s like I’ve finally found MY language. It involves devoting lots of my own time (Tuesday – Peer Coach Wednesday – Teleclass Thursday – Peer Group Friday – Peer Client) and then the assignments.. and projects (Completing Logs/Book Report/prepare for 20 minute presentation during next Module (October 8th-10th/Gremlin project) but I am LOVING every minute of it!!!
  4. My fabulous brother in law John updated the teaser page of the Married to a Chef site!!! He put the Logo on it.. (Thank You John!!!)

2 things I look forward to today:

  1. I hope that my husband gets off in time that we can enjoy having dinner outside tonite! It is just so beautiful outside right now!!!
  2. Clean sheets on the bed tonite – AHHH.

2 long term things I look forward to:

  1. Oh my goodness.. Can you believe it’s been almost a YEAR since Peter and I got married!!!???!!! Wow this year flew by. So much change. So much… life happening here. I am so excited to kickoff our week vacation on our anniversary on 9.26 – (We originally were going to Montreal – but we are changing that – our plans haven’t been solidified yet. )
  2. I actually have one definite future writing opportunity where I will be “published” , possibly (most likely) two. The Definite one talking about how I AM ENOUGH!!! and the other.. for the Married to a Chef website!!! ROCK ON!

1 person I am going to appreciate:

my little sister. She amazes me. She has transitioned from one chapter to another in her life this week – and preparing for yet another that comes with it deluge of challenges… but for the first time in her life I can see her ‘light at the end of the tunnel’. And it makes me feel contented in my soul. I see her passion for what is beyond this upcoming chapter. And I will do ALL I can to assist her on her mission! I’m so proud of you little sister. Whatever you do… no matter WHERE you are. All you EVER have to do is to NEVER. GIVE. UP! xoxo

alrighty – have a great Labor Day weekend! Hope you find time to un-labor yourself!
xoxo

Another White Hot Truth…

I love this womans ferocious persistence to push us out of the box. (I can almost hear her lioness roar!!)

Here is her inspiring inspiring ditty for today….

your permission slip from the universe

I’ve got the Goddess of Permission on speed dial and she was thrilled to oblige with this sweeping list of acts of self expression and liberation. We can draw on it whenever we need. Come back often. Build on it. The Permission Goddess sends kisses and high-fives.

you have permission to

: not finish reading books that you’re not really enjoying. Don’t force it, close it.
: walk out of movies that suck (and hey, if you leave in the first twenty minutes, you can get your money back.)
: let it go to voicemail (especially during dinner, or snuggling, or watching So You Think You Can Dance?)
: give birthday gifts anytime of the year (which means you can be late or early and you can give yourself time to find just the right gift.)
: talk shit about WalMart (even if they do have the economic power of a small country.)
: cut the obligations cords that are driven by guilt.
: pursue your own agenda.
: own next to nothing, live on a mattress, read and write and make love all day with no other responsibilities*
: return crappy products to their crappy manufacturers (because you can vote with your dollars.)
: leave your current business model so you can go do something bigger than you
: tell your kids when you think that something an authority figure told them is bullshit (you need to be in solidarity with your child, not the so-called grown ups.)
: quit your job, even if you just started two weeks ago, or just got a raise, or are seemingly indispensable.
: get yourself off even, if you have a partner.
: have some secrets.
: cut out the elements of your business that you don’t totally LOVE. The parts that 90% of the time make you say, “WHY am I doing this? I don’t WANT to do this.”
: give away/recycle/get rid of stuff, stuff, stuff sentimental stuff that special people gave you (your home is for you, not them); stuff that doesn’t make you feel good even, if you spent a lot of money on it; stuff that has intense memories attached to it; stuff!
: say no to “free” stuff, like swag bags at fancy events and novelty erasers and pom-pom pens from the bank. (Because the only thing in life that’s free is love.)

you have permission to

: fail, and fail again.
: to succeed, wildly, more than your neighbours, more than your folks, more than you thought was possible.
: be rich and “spiritual”
: be broke AND generous
: leave work early, get some ice cream, and sit in the hot tub at the gym
: charge what you’re worth
: focus more on creating your soul job and less on finding a ho’ job.
: sleep! sleep in, nap, sleep.
: earn a living knitting for charity.
: relax. To let go of the growing to-do list in your head. To release the need to get it “just right.”
to dance
: go bra-less or underwear free.
: give it all to charity.
: check your email whenever the hell you want.
: start now, without the degree, without the funding, without knowing exactly where you’re going.
: sell your house to afford a big trip to India (a friend of mine did just that, no regrets.)
: walk away.
: fall in love.
: eat dessert first.

you have permission to
: not ever feel the need for permission.

PS…The Goddess of Compassion, Quan Yin, also emailed me. She and The G’ of Permish are a rad’ team when they ride together. Quan Yin just wanted me to make sure she gets repp’ed in the mix: quit responsibly, say Fuck off with compassion in your heart, liberate with love, and cut clean when you need to use your sword. And when you can, do what you say you’re going to do, or announce when you can’t with deftness and care.

And then Ms. Permissive emailed me to say she gives you permission to whatever, however, because ultimately, it’s all progress. I asked the Deities to take their debate off-line. Your liberation isn’t their business anyway.

AND AFTERWARDS….

AFTER YOU’RE TOTALLY INSPIRED BY THAT…

WATCH THIS…. (I suggest you make your screen big to watch this… What a kickass quick draw artist!!!)
