Excuses
The other night I caught Wayne Dyer on PBS trying to raise money for the station. I caught him giving a lecture on his new book (Excuses begone) and he asked this question above… INSTANTANEOUSLY everything lifted and I took a deep breath in. Ahhh. Then images flooded my mind… living in Charleston – Having a wonderful “official” Honeymoon in Italy… being busy with speaking appointments from the Married to a Chef website… meeting with clients from being a Life Coach – maybe my “ULTIMATE” dream of all time… seeing me in my own little shop of inspiration… having a family and seeing us all out at a park, having a picnic, taking pictures. It was nice…
He said that to everyone he EVER asked.. their answer is…
I WOULD BE FREE.
That’s how I felt… FREE. Free of the what if this.. if that…. the lack and yearning… wanting.
I taped this piece of paper to the mirror in my bathroom. So I can see it and take it in.
I want to remember this every day. NO EXCUSES.
So.. what would YOUR life look like huh? Talk to me.

#953 When cashiers open up new check-out lanes at the grocery store
ooh I LOVE when this happens!!! It’s like when in Jr. High and in gym class…being picked first to be on the popular kids team. (okay maybe not first but definitely not last!) You want to stop and point to yourself and say “ME?REALLY?” and you walk over to place your items down with a swell of pride that somehow you were divinely picked for the day. Head Held High as you whip out your Debit card to pay. LOVE IT!!!
Alright.. I have a lot on my mind and a lot to say today but I’ll keep this post light.
Much Love,
Kerilyn

I would be FREE of my own insecurity that I am a good designer for most people out there instead of just my home!! This is my goal for 2010…be someone bigger than I ever dreamed of. Also to think like a child and come down on my daughters level. Example- tonight we are going camping!!! Yeah a little roughing it, smores, cooking on an open fire…ok ok not quite so but we are turning on the fireplace for the first time in 2 years and making a pallet on the floor to sleep and playing games instead of watching tv. This is all due to my new resolution of not working for my ex husband, running his bar and spending new found time with my wonderful and amazing child. I’ll let you know how this goes…hopefully we wont be calling the fire dept.
As for the check out lane the only thing that does for me is I try to cram in one more errand before picking up my noodle (Jaymesen) from school.
